Environmental Engineer

Location

Anchorage, Alaska

Experience

B.S. Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

To include, but not limited to, project work and report writing.  Examples of projects that you may be assigned are basic drinking water and wastewater design, developing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, sampling groundwater and soil, writing NEPA documents, and permitting. You will assist personnel with collecting environmental data.  Some field work will be necessary on a project-by-project basis. We may also need you to assist our survey team.

Compensation

Depends on experience. 3-Tier Alaska offers a full benefit package to include medical, 401(k) and profit-sharing.

Accounting/Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Duties

• Accounts Receivable (AR) billing, Accounts Payable (AP) support in QuickBooks, management of project contracts and proposals
• Track and maintain Work-in-Progress reports and other financial-related reports
• QuickBooks, word processing, human resources, data entry, answering incoming phones, greeting customers at door
• General administrative support
• Provide assistance to other Professional staff

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training
• Background in engineering or construction accounting preferred
• Associate’s or related degree or equivalent, preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite and certified payrolls
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Organized and proactive
• Must be a team player, yet also able to work independently
• Friendly, positive attitude and demeanor, accustomed to keeping clients and supervisors apprised of status of accounts and projects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required
• Payroll, tax or other accounting skills preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage $20/hr-plus, depending on experience, performance bonuses

Office Draftsman/Junior Engineer/Assistant Project Manager

This role will assist our three Project Managers and involve a mix of office drafting in AutoCAD Civil3D for both land surveying and civil engineering projects, technical writing for a myriad of engineering reports and field work in land surveying and engineering site inspections and evaluations.

Looking for motivated, self-starters willing to dive in, roll up their sleeves and learn quickly, in a small, team-oriented work environment.

Starting pay is negotiable and depends on experience. EIT and/or LSIT license is preferred but not required. We offer flexible work schedules around course work and offer to pay for continuing education and licensure in related fields.

Land Surveying Technician

Looking for a Land Surveying Technician, ranging from entry-level Rodman, to an experienced Party Chief. Work involves use with industry standard GPS TopCon Survey equipment. Work is outdoors and mostly in the Fairbanks and North Pole vicinities.
